Dr. C. Falentin-Daudré completed her higher education at the University of Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens. She then pursued a Ph.D. at the same university under the supervision of Dr. Imane Stasik and Professor Daniel Beaupère. In 2009, she earned her doctorate, focusing on the development of new active molecules derived from sugars for medical applications. After a postdoctoral fellowship in Belgium at the CERM at the University of Liège, she was appointed as a lecturer in September 2012 at Paris 13 University within the LBPS-CSPBAT laboratory, directed by Professor V. Migonney. She obtained her HDR (Habilitation to Direct Research) on November 19, 2019, at Paris 13 University. Her areas of expertise include:
Grafting bioactive polymers onto metallic and/or polymer surfaces for biomedical applications.
Developing biodegradable polymer implants through electrospinning for biomedical applications.
Since September 1, 2016, she has been the head of the M2 Master's program in SGM (Materials Science) I2B track at the Galilée Institute (University of Paris 13). Since November 29, 2019, she has been a member of the CNU Section 33 (Materials Chemistry).
Research Themes
Synthesis of bioactive polymers with controlled architecture.
Grafting bioactive polymers onto titanium implants, titanium alloys, ceramics, polycaprolactone, and silicone for biomedical applications.
Developing electrospun membranes for various biomedical applications (spina bifida, periodontal regeneration, cartilage).
